Sam is a highly experienced and qualified human resources and organisational development leader, with expertise in cultural change and capability programs, large-scale organisational change initiatives, workforce / WHS systems, and dealing with complex employee relations issues.
Successful outcomes have been achieved both at a State and national level in the transformation of medium to large organisations in the health and aged care sectors undergoing significant reform. These organisations include the Townville Hospital & Health Service, Catholic Healthcare, UnitingCare Ageing, and the Australian Red Cross Blood Service (now known as Life Blood).
Sam is a respected human resources professional with a passion for service excellence, and has a wealth of experience in coaching and developing others to succeed.
Sam is a firm believer that an important path to success for organisations is through effective leadership capability development and best practice HR service models, combined with an array of people strategies and interventions designed to build high performing teams, drive cultural development, and enhance employee engagement.
Under Sam’s leadership, the People and Culture team within SCHN will continue to play a key role in supporting managers and staff across the Network to deliver safe, reliable person/family-centred care and driving the best outcomes and experiences for patients.
