  • Design office spaces for productivity: Associate Professor Philip Oldfield emphasized the importance of creating office spaces suited for the hybrid workforce, like Atlassian’s new office hub, which prioritizes flexibility and human-centered design.
  • Foster connection and flexibility: Ranna Alkadamani from Frasers Property Industrial discussed how meaningful social connections and flexible work arrangements can enhance both productivity and gender equality.
  • Adopt a ‘whole person’ approach: Professor Sanders and Ms. Alkadamani stressed the importance of recognizing employees’ full lives, advocating for strategies that support both work and personal responsibilities.
  • Focus on core hours, not just office days: Dr. Dhaenens suggested shifting the focus from mandatory office days to core working hours, allowing for flexibility while maintaining productivity.
